1981 Cessna 172 on ebay

THE PERFORMANCE AND ENGINE - The engine is a Lycoming 0-320-D2J. It is 160 HP. Max speed at sea level is 123 knots.Never Exceed Speed is 158 knots. It holds 40 gallons of usable fuel. Has a service ceiling of 13,000 feet. It has a max useful load of 993 pounds.

In addition with THE AVIONICS that came with the airplane, it has a newer MX170C Nac/Com, digital flip flop w/GS, a spare (working) King KX170B Nav/Com, King KR86 ADF, King KT76A with encoder, King KMA 24 Audio Panel, PS 1000 4 place intercom, EI digital Volt/Amp meter, and CHT?EGT indicator. All avionics are in working condition. The Static check was completed last year and all Nav instruments were adjusted.

GENERAL CONDITION - The annual was completed in July of 2007. I spent nearly $7,000 on the annual and subsequent work. It is in fine condition, but it is also 27 years old with 11,000 hours on the airframe. But my children have all learned to fly in the plane. I wouldn’t have had them flying solo if i didn’t trust the airplane 100%. There are no none issues, defects or problems. In my pre-buy inspection 19 months ago, and my annual 7 months ago, no corrosion issues were identified.

And finally, i’ll tell you the same thing the pilot that sold it to me said to me. It is a Cessna 172…..the most widely produced airplane ever. It is well built, and it continues to fly great and if you are looking to learn to fly, have fun on weekends, or looking to upgrade from a 150 or 152 you can’t go wrong.
