Gulfstream G-650 Unveiled
The news of the new Gulfstream G-650 has just ripped a new stream through the Internet. Gulfstream is planning on building the world’s fastest civil jet. The Gulfstream G-650 is predicted to fly just under the speed of sound and will cruise around 51,000 feet above sea level.
Currently the fastest private jet in production is the Cessna Citation X. The Gulfstream G-650 is expected to have twice the range. The Gulfstream G-650 will be powered with the new BR-725 engine made by Rolls-Royce Group. Test flights are s expected to begin late in 2009. The Gulfstream G-650 will cost nearly 60 million dollars.
