Mary Feik - 65 Years of Flying - Legend of U.S. Aviation
In recent news, Susan Gvozdas, journalist for The Baltimore Sun, covered a very interesting story about a female pilot, Mary Feik, who has flow for 60 years. Her flying career started back in 1941 when she applied for admission to the engineering department of the University of Buffalo.
In her 65 year career she worked as a master aircraft mechanic for the Air Force and has logged in over 6000 hours as a fighter pilot, attack pilot and bomber pilot.

Over the years, she has been recognized by NASA as one of the significant women in aerospace. She is one out of a total of only 47 to have this achievement. She has been mentioned in a countless number of books and various publications and is widely known within the aviation community.
