Fourth Boeing Strike in 20 Years

The near 27,000 workers of IAM — International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers — are threatening to go on strike, claiming that the new proposed three year contract has terms set fourth by Boeing, Inc. that will reduce their benefits, increase health care costs and lacks any guarantee on their job security.

IAM union leaders are encouraging their labor workers to go on strike and are urged to reject the newly proposed three year Boeing contract. The effects from this strike could very well effect the U.S. economy and place a $3 billion burden on Boeing, Inc. - Full Story.
