The New Texas Hill Country Airpark
We received a notification today from Sandy Fletcher about the new Texas Hill Country Airpark. The Texas Hill Country Airpark is an aviation project by Larry and Maybelle Fletcher and Texas Hill Country’s only live water fly-in residential community.
The Texas Hill Country Airpark was developed by pilots for pilots, for the unique purpose of combining the love of aviation with the love of the Texas Hill Country. Their facility even offers you the opportunity to taxi your airplane right up to your front door.
James Lawrence “Larry” Fletcher and Maybelle Montgomery Fletcher have been continually active in the aviation business since the early 1940’s. Larry received his pilot’s license in 1941 while training for the military in Virginia. Their first aviation business was established on the Eastern Shore of Virginia later that year. The operation, just outside the town of Parksley, Virginia, consisted of pilot training, area tours, crop dusting, and charter flights.
Fly your airplane, go kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, or hiking all just beyond your front door. Tour quaint Hill Country towns or take a dip in clear, serene swimming holes, scenic waterfalls, or bubbling rapids. We have something for the whole family!
